Barton J. Rice Tackles Triathalon
“Dr. Hawkins completed a meniscus and ACL tear on 29 DEC 2017. I just want to thank him and your staff. My knee is better than new and I recently took third place last weekend at the Boston Triathlon! If that is not a success story, then I do not know what is one then! Many thanks to you!”– Barton J. Rice
Family. It’s a term that’s often used to define a group of people related to one another, but in the case of Tori and Lee Sipes of Windham, it is also how they define their relationship with their orthopaedist.

My children have been to Essex Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine for so many sports related injuries and all the doctors we have seen were accommodating, professional and compassionate. I work in healthcare myself and I see so many things. I trust this group completely. Dr. Ergin was great with Jessica and he respected her sense of urgency to have her surgery early on this past summer so she could get back to her high school sports this fall.
We could not be happier with the outcome.Wendy, Methuen, MA

The terrible weather couldn’t hold back our PA-C Chris Shields and his wife, Kelly, who recently crossed the finish line of the Boston Marathon together with personal bests. They ran the Boston Marathon in memory of their friend Chrissy Fields Cedrone (Kelly’s sister-in-law) who was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer in 2014 and passed away on January 28th last year. They are grateful for all the support they received to reach their fundraising goals. A huge thanks to all and a congratulations to Chris and his wife, Kelly. They certainly honored their friend well.
