Our Physician Assistants are an integral part of the Essex and Optima team. They can diagnose and treat a range of Orthopaedic conditions. They work closely with our Physicians in the office and in the operating room enabling us to provide all our patients quality care without delay.
R. Scott Warren, PA-C
- Has worked as a Physician Assistant in Orthopaedic Surgery since 1988 and has been part of Essex Orthopaedics since 1997. He graduated from the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1985. He has worked as an emergency medical technician and in urgent care clinical settings. Scott is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is licensed by the New Hampshire and Massachusetts state medical boards
Carys Kirk, PA-C
- Has worked in the health care field since 1985. She received her master's degree from the Notre Dame College Physician Assistant Studies Program in 2001. Prior to this she studied physical therapy and athletic training, obtaining licenses in both these fields. Over the years, Carys has worked in a variety of settings including nursing homes, school systems and athletic facilities as well as hospitals and outpatient clinics. Carys is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is licensed by the New Hampshire and Massachusetts state medical boards.
Peter Shoukimas, PA-C
- Has worked as a Physician Assistant in Orthopaedic Surgery since 1977. He graduated from the Medex New England Physician Assistant program at Dartmouth Medical School in 1974. He has practiced in a variety of settings including Children's Hospital and the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Currently, he also serves as an instructor for the National Ski Patrol Outdoors Emergency Care Course. Peter is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is licensed by the New Hampshire and Massachusetts state medical boards.
