Dr. Philbrick is an expert in surgery of the upper extremity, and arthroscopic surgery of the wrist and shoulder, including shoulder replacement. “The hand is an integral part of everyone’s life and it is an amazing feeling to be able to help people and see them get better,” said Dr. Philbrick. He provides personal attention to help patients restore their health and maintain their lifestyle.
Having lived and worked outside the state for a number of years, Dr. Philbrick recently returned to New Hampshire because he loves the area, the people and the opportunity to be near family and to be a part of a community-oriented practice. Community service is important to him, having taken two mission trips to Mexico and having been actively engaged in fundraisers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
“All of us at Essex Orthopaedics are thrilled to have Dr. Philbrick join our practice. It is wonderful to have a new colleague who has trained at an excellent, accredited hand surgical fellowship,” said Dr. Crawford C. Campbell. “He will bring the latest knowledge, surgical techniques and expertise in upper extremity surgery to this area, and he and I hope to create a ‘Center of Excellence’ for hand surgery in the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire.”
Dr. Philbrick received his BS from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL, and his MD from the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, OH, where he also did his internship and residency. He conducted his Fellowship in hand surgery at Excelsior Orthopaedics in Amherst, NY.
